HOW TO GET TO NSW
How To Get To NSW

 Driving  Flying
Driving to the NSW snowfields is easy. To protect your vehicle ensure that your radiator has coolant. Chains do not have to be carried on the Alpine Way to Thredbo or Skitube (Bullocks Flat). Chains must be carried on the Alpine Way beyond Thredbo and on the Kosciuszko Rd beyond Sawpit Creek. However, you do have to fit chains to your vehicle on any road in the National Park if the Police, National Parks officers or RTA officers set up a chain bay and direct their fitting. These may be hired in Cooma or Jindabyne. If you are driving into the park, you will also need to pay an entry fee. Kosciuszko National Park (Perisher and Thredbo) is $27 per day / $190 annual pass. Cash only at the gates or EFTPOS and Credit Card facilities at the NPWS Centre in Jindaby  Both Virgin Blue and Qantas operate direct flights to Canberra from most major cities, or convenient connections via Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne (see map for details).

Coaching
Snowscene Express Coaches operate from Brisbane, Gold Coast, Northern NSW and Mid Coast NSW to the snowfields most weeks of the season. Greyhound Australia operate coaches from all over Australia
to the snowfields, ask for details. Coach transfers from Canberra and Cooma Airports operate on most days, while private transfers from Canberra and Cooma operate on any day at any time.
