Commitment to privacy and responsible use of information:

Snobus Pty Ltd owns and operates Snowscene/SkiScene Travel/Gabba Travel, which are registered & licensed Travel Agents.  Privacy of individuals is of importance to us.  This concerns information or opinions about customers that we collect and record in the process of making Travel Arrangements and which could be used to reasonably identify them.  This Privacy Policy Statement sets out our policies on how we manage personal information across our business.  We undertake to promptly acknowledge and investigate any complaint about the way we manage personal information.

Type of personal information we collect:

The kind of information we collect depends on your relationship with us. Generally this may include: *Name, address, phone/fax/email and other contact details, age and date of birth and proof of identity information (eg drivers licence); *An assessment of your skiing/snowboarding ability; *Your use of our products and services, and any special requirements or preferences you tell us about; *Sensitive information (with your consent) concerning age, health and religion, so that we may make any special arrangements that you require.  It is our policy that sensitive information will be used and disclosed only for the purposes for which it was provided, unless you agree otherwise or as allowed by law.

Why we collect personal information:

Generally, we collect and use personal information to provide our products and services and carry on our business. Eg. to: *Make travel arrangements on your behalf which may include booking flights/coaches/hire cars/trains/tours/accommodation/ski resort mountain passes/ski or snowboarding school lessons/Winter Sports Club programs/child minding services/entry to events/ski and snowboard hire and ski and snowboard season passes; *Verify your identity for certain services we provide; *To assist our administration and operations departments including accounting, record keeping, archiving of your arrangements.

How we collect information:

Generally, we collect personal information either directly from you, an associate or from a Travel Agent on your behalf, such as when you request a product or service, in the course of providing you with that product or service.

How we store information:

We store personal information in a combination of secure computer reservation storage facilities and paper-based files and other records located at premises. In so doing, we take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.  Access to your personal information is restricted to employees.

Exchange of personal information with third parties:

Because your privacy is important we will not sell, rent or trade your personal information.  However, due to the nature of the business of a Travel Agent, we need to disclose information about you to Principals & other Service Providers who carry out specialised activities on our behalf. In particular, contractors may provide us with a range of administrative, information technology and other services.  To better protect your privacy, we impose strict requirements of security and confidentiality on all third parties as to how they handle your personal information.  Outside contractors are not permitted to use information about you for any purpose except to perform the services we have asked them to provide.

Our website has links to other websites.  These sites may contain their own privacy statement. Snobus Pty Ltd is not responsible for the privacy statements of third parties.

Promotional information:

We may use your personal information to give you information and offers about products and services offered by us or our Suppliers, which may interest you.  If you do not wish to receive promotional information from us, please contact us on the contact details below to update your preferences.    

Updating and accessing information:

We will take reasonable steps to make sure that the personal information we collect, use or disclose is accurate, complete and up to date. If your personal details change, such as your address, phone numbers, fax numbers or E Mail address we encourage you to contact us on (07) 3392 1722 or info@snowscene.com.au to update your details so we can continue to provide you with our services.           

Access to your personal information:

You can ask to obtain access to your personal information that we hold about you in accordance with our obligations under the Privacy Act.  We may ask that you submit this request in writing and we may charge a fee for providing you with this information, in which case we will inform you of the fee in advance of providing the information.

Gabba Travel Internet and E-mail Privacy Policy:

When a person looks at the Snowscene/SkiScene Travel &  Gabba Travel web site, our Internet Service Provider (ISP) makes a record of the visit and logs the following information for statistical purposes: a. The user's server address and country of origin; b. The user's top-level domain name (eg .com, .gov, .au etc); c. The date and time of visits to the site; d. The pages accessed and documents downloaded; e. The previous site visited if the user has been redirected via a link from another site; and f. The type of browser being used.  Gabba Travel will not make an attempt to identify users or their browsing activities.  SNOBUS pty ltd will only record a person's e-mail address if they send a message or otherwise communicate the e-mail address to Snobus Companies. The e-mail address will only be used for the purpose for which a person provides it and it will not be added to a mailing list or used for any other purpose without the consent of the person.  Gabba Travel's web site does not have facilities for the secure transmission of information across the Internet.  Users should be aware that there are inherent risks transmitting information across the Internet.
